Our Doctors and Staff

Dr. Glen Linsley

Dr. Glen Linsley received his Doctor of Optometry from Ohio State University and established his private practice in Mason in 1976. He is a long-time Associate Clinical Professor at the Michigan College of Optometry and spends two days a week supervising fourth-year optometry students at the Duane Waters Hospital at the Jackson Correctional Facility. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a member of the American Optometric Association, and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists. Dr. Linsley is married and has six children with his wife, Donna. Dr. Linsley is an avid runner who has completed four marathons including the 2009 Boston Marathon. In 2015, he met his goal of competing in one race for each month of the year. He also enjoys camping, staying involved in his home church, reading Jeff Shaara novels, watching college football, and attempting to keep an eye on his very large family!

Dr. Chad Linsley

As Dr. Glen’s eldest son, Dr. Chad Linsley was exposed to optometry at an early age and spent many childhood years roaming his father’s practice. He spent several years of high school working in the practice dispensing glasses and performing general office work. Throughout college he spent his breaks at the office performing pre-testing and helping in the dispensary.

Dr. Chad received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Michigan College of Optometry in 2010. Dr. Linsley’s extern training included Eyecare Associates of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, the Pawnee Indian Health Service near Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the Dwayne Waters Hospital in Jackson, Michigan.

As an optometrist, Dr. Chad has an acute interest in third-world eye-care and has participated in short-term humanitarian trips to Haiti, Guatemala, Peru, Kenya, and Costa Rica. He is driven by his belief that there are few situations in which Mason Family Eye Care can not improve visual function or ocular comfort.

When Dr. Chad is not at the office, he enjoys running, reading, landscaping, and spending time with his wife, Felicia. Next time you’re in for an exam, you might ask him about the joy of shopping at Aldi.

Brett Linsley, Practice Manager

For over a decade, Brett has overseen office operations at Mason Family Eye Care, helping ensure that both patients and staff are consistently well cared for. Through his steadfast commitment to patient service, he has become a trusted and steady presence within the practice.

Brett values the relationships his work allows him to build and enjoys interacting with individuals and families from Mason and the surrounding communities. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and dog, curating his extensive private library, and listening to classical music.

Lisa Rizzardi, Scribe

Lisa approaches her duties in the exam room with precision, courtesy and professionalism. In her time at Mason Family Eye Care, she has become skilled in all areas of our office and now scribes for Dr. Chad with excellence. Her steady countenance and attention detail have made her an invaluable member of Mason Family Eye Care.

As one our office’s several animal enthusiasts, it won’t surprise you to see Lisa out for a with her dog. She is also an avid reader and crafting enthusiast. While quiet and reserved, Lisa may just talk your ear off if you ask her about her dogs or the latest JK Rowling  novel.

Kim Dodge, Optician

Kim brings skill, kindness, and professionalism to every appointment. She takes the time to understand each patient’s unique vision needs, offering thoughtful guidance on lenses, frames, and fit.

Kim’s goal is to ensure every patient leaves feeling well cared for and confident in their eyewear choices.

Ashley Stokes, Technician/Front Desk

Ashley joined the MFEC Team in 2021. She began as a Technician, furthering her skills to working at the Front Desk; then advancing her skills by helping, behind the scenes, preparing for patients before they arrive. She in enthusiastic and passionate in providing her patients with the best experience and care.

In her downtime, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, highlights include going camping and enjoying Michigan Adventure.

Rachel Mohr, Front Desk/Technician

Rachel joined MFEC in the fall of 2024. She primarily works the Front Desk, while actively expanding her role and skillset to include Technician responsibilities. She has a strong interest in marketing, design & any position that allows her to multi-task, stay engaged and continue learning.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys reading fantasy novels - especially those by Sarah J. Maas & Helen Scheurer - and spending time caring for her pit bull mix rescue and her ever-growing collection of 20+ plants. She also loves being outdoors, fishing and camping with her family whenever she gets the chance.

Shari Lavigne, Optician

Shari is an optician with a true passion for both vision and fashion. Blending technical expertise with an eye for style, Shari enjoys helping patients find frames that meet their visual needs while perfectly complementing their personality.

Known for a commitment to quality and patient care, Shari is always focused on finding the best products and solutions to ensure every patient sees—and feels—their very best.




Mary Her, Optician

With over seven years of experience in the optical field, Mary is passionate about helping patients see—and feel—their very best. She is deeply invested in finding the right pair for each individual, whether it’s eyewear suited for work, hobbies, or everyday life. From selecting frames and navigating prescription options to teaching first-time contact lens wearers how to confidently insert their lenses, Mary creates a comfortable, supportive, and positive experience for everyone she serves.

Known for her caring and sweet personality, Mary believes that keeping patients in a positive mindset is just as important as finding the perfect fit. She loves encouraging others and making sure they feel confident in their choices.

Outside of work, Mary has an adventurous spirit and isn’t afraid to try something new. She enjoys singing, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and baking sweet treats for family and friends. Traveling is one of her greatest passions—she loves exploring new cultures and has visited Japan, Thailand, Singapore, and Taiwan. Her goal is to visit a different U.S. state each year and travel internationally as often as possible—she still has 35 states to cross off her list!

Lauren Yunker, Technician/Front Desk

As a technician Lauren administers basic diagnostic testing while creating a welcoming, compassionate approach to patients. When she’s not helping patients, she spends her time caring for her own animals at home and volunteers regularly at the local animal shelter. Her love for both people and animals shows in everything she does, making her a valued part of any team.
